I have mapped soils for over 27 years. I began my career as a Soil Conservation Technician in Knox County, TN from there I became a County Soil Scientist in Roane County, TN. In the year 2000, I began my federal career for the United States department of Agriculture (USDA) and mapped Roane, Scott, Morgan, Anderson Counties, and the Big South Fork National River and Recreational Area (BISO-NRRA).

As a former Soil Survey Project Leader, I have mapped and led soil survey activities in parts of seven states across the southeast.

My soils expertise is focused on the Southern Appalachia Ridges and Valleys and the Cumberland Plateau and Mountains.

As a National Training Coordinator, Team Lead for the National Cooperative Soil Survey, Team lead for Website Management, and many additional roles, I have extensive experience leading diverse teams across this great nation. I am proud to have served the public and supported our nation’s agricultural sector for almost 27 years.
